I attended a parade this morning in Kennebunkport, and cried as veterans of all ages passed by in uniform. I clapped along with others as they carried their flags and marched along.
My father is a Vietnam Vet; he served in the Marines, and we lived in California; base for my dad was 29 Palms.
Today was a day where I felt truly in touch with my fellow citizens, and truly appreciative for being able to stand there and applaud their service.
I hope this Company, and all soldiers fighting abroad return home safely to their families as soon as they can.report abuse
