a. Smokin Joe Frazier is a living legend.
b. How many people will come out to see Smokin Joe that won't come to hear a politician ? ALOT
c. Those that show up get to hear a candidate face to face talk about issues. There for they get to make a real decision vs. listening to news reporters, etc.
So people come out to see Joe Frazier, see a candidate, make an informed decision.
Oh - Peter:
Let's see:
1. Donate to build a dorm at a Christian College in Boston, for missionaries who need to get training before going out in the field.
2. Built a youth center in Portland & worked with you for 12+ years as a volunteer.
3. Volunteers at the homeless shelter in Portland for 10 years.
4. Director of the Smokin Joe Frazier foundation - dedicated to teen literacy, family counciling, teen pregnancy support and after school programs in PA.
5. Set up a scholarship program for underpriviledged childred to go to a private school: $200,000 - to date.
6. Sits on the board of the college as advisor to the president. Sits on the board of the Christian Coalition of Maine.
7. Bought Adelphia out of bankruptcy and saved telephone service in 27 states for customers.
8. Donated 8 school buses to non-profits.
9. Relocated Katrina victims.
So if by opening his house for visitors to come and hear a man run for political office is a crime or a possible crime - wow ! Does he handle money ? NO - Would there be a problem if he did ? NO- The man never owed anyone a penny, helps everyone that wants to help themselves and needs a temporary helping hand.
So this is typical mud throwing just to try and make the news juicy. I'd like to know if the reporter is perfect or never made one mistake in their life.
Why don't you "reporters" paint the whole picture ? focus on the issues ? and you holy rollers should apply for saint hood with the Pope.report abuse

If the reporter writing this story had a criminal record, would that affect one's perception of this story?report abuse

I fail to see the relevance of mentioning Pete Bouchard's past mistakes in this article- it's just plain mud-throwing by the PPH!

Sounded like really positive story until some bias was turned on it to paint a bad picture of Charlie.
