Any organization that is taken over by the more radical (or reactionary) elements, loses its credibility. PETA is only one of many which have gone this route. I cite Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, the Republican and Democratic Parties, Southern Baptists. It's fine being "green" but not extreme green.report abuseLab Owner
Where is the ethical in these numbers?
http://nathanwinograd.blogspot.com/
In 2007, PETA killed roughly 91% of the animals they impounded, taking in 1,997 and putting 1,815 to death. A paltry 17 of the 1,997 were adopted.
If you value your pets, stop donating to PETA.
Some very interesting reading on PETA and friends

Any group that has something kindly (and I use that loosely) as the van of death and kills more animals than they supposedly save has no standing with me.
Not to mention the fact they are hypocrites. They can have pets(and they do) but we can't. Its OK for them to use insulin (because THEIR lives are MORE important) but we can't.
You don't want to eat meat, fine more for the rest of us, but don't support these people.report abuse

I never was a big lobster fan I prefer crab, but if this goes through I suggest a protest against PETA. Give them a taste of their own medicine. Let's bring about 20 bags of burgers and buckets of chicken.

If PETA wants to stop lobster fishing, they need to buy up all the lobster boats. Betcha we can build 'em faster than they can buy 'em. It would be a wonderful boost to the Maine economy.report abuse

So far, I think I'll put my support behind the grist mill proposal.
