Oranges - No I don't think it's unbiased, I know it's a liberal website that counters the neo-con think tank "The New American Century" I just think it raises some interesting parallels between the policies of the Bush Administration and the key points of fascism. I think you'd be hard pressed to find any news outlet that isn't "unbiased" every newspaper and major news station is owned by someone, be it Rupert Murdoch or Disney, there is always someone behind the scenes with an agenda, they decide what we are told and how it is presented, did the rally cry to go to war in Iraq teach you nothing about our news sources and their bias?report abusemdenis46

Also, Collins didn't object to the main part of the bill, but rather to the unnecessary subsidies, as it were, that were included in the bill. Strip those pork barrel amendments, and I'd bet she would vote for it.
Anyone here ever heard of "earmarks"? If not, Google the term...report abuse

I don't fault Collins for her "two term" stance. If the Senate had term limits, that would be fine, but until then, the longer a Senator is in office, the more power s/he has, and the more s/he can do to change things. One doesn't often see major pieces of legislation being pushed through Congress by first- or second-term members.

Once again Suzi "Two-Term" Collins votes against the Maine people's interests and joins with the Republican obstructionists who want to prevent any solutions to America's problems. Well Republicans would have to admit that they are the cause of the problem and that their economic program of wealth transfer from the middle class to the wealthy doesn't work.report abuseJonathan Albrecht

Stop buying the fascist Hannity line. The media is biased very much to the right. They promote big business and their front groups like the Republicans.report abuse
