I would also advocate for opening all the voting places for the November election, and finding somewhere else to cut to make up for it. I'd be willing, for example, to have my garbage picked up every other week for as long as it takes to meet the budget then.report abuse

If it really needs to be done for budget reasons, I would hope the City will at the least send a (free) press release weeks and days before each election outlining in easy detail how people can vote absentee.
