We passed two laws regarding drivers licenses; the first law (LD 2304) requires that we show proof that we live here by bringing utitity bills, etc with our physical address on them to get our license. This law is NOT part of the People's Veto effort.
The Second law passed, (LD 2309) implements Real ID and strips us of our rights as written in fourth amendment of our US Constitution where we are supposed to be protected in our person, papers and property.
People who give up their freedom in exchange for security, deserve neither and it is obvious our media will never tell the truth on these issues.
If citizens keep sittin on their duffs thinking nothing can be done, then one day soon, we will all wake up to find the United States of America GONE and in it's place an entity similar to Nazi Germany.report abuse

We do not have to do this. 20 States have said, "NO" to Real ID. Maine is the only state being singled out.

We have to do this. All emotions aside, we are at war, and if we ever get to a point where we are not threatened by someone outside the U.S., we can always reverse the process.report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment. Register or log in.
