Screw the cat. Let the rich owners pay for it, we shouldn't have to bail them out. It's no Maine Iconic treasure, and we get keestered for a fortune for a one way ride if we DO want to ride it, which I don't. It's not making enough? That's called FAILURE! Shut it down. No one comes to my rescue if my business fails, I'll go hungry, lose my home, repo vehicles, etc. Keep the damn thing in Canada so it doesn't run over any more fisherman!report abuse

I'm truly surprised that the CAT can make 4.4 million in revenues in a season. If fuel cost more, then raise the rates. If the customers don't pay the higher rates than the company must adjust or get out of the business. If it is truly saving the truckers money on travel to Nova Scotia they will use it.report abuse

The Cat has been a flop from Day one, why subsidize a Canadian Company with MAINE money? Let the Canadians who hate the idea of ANY US Industry Down East subsidize the Cat as they do lumber industry etc.report abuse

Albeit a shorter route to travel to Nova Scotia,it's very expensive, one way one the Cat ,motorcyle and 2 adults=approx. 250$. Too bad Maine can't kick in some cash, since they reap the benefits initially of the tourists who stop here then travel to NS on the Catreport abuse
