We don't buy oil from Iran. Remember the Carter Hostages.
Windpower has to be fed into a large grid, so when the wind stops, everyone is not left in the dark. A recent article said: Maine has 477,000 single family homes. So, 50,000 homes are like finding a dead lawyer at the bottom of a pond.
A Good Start.

Oh and to rebel: The flaw in your argument is when
you say "you think" something is true. Do you have proof that the power is going out of state? Are you familiar with how the electric grid works?
If not, then you're the one who's shoveling the hockey. Maybe you wouldn't be such a cynic if you read up on an issue a bit before going off on it.report abuse

Pickens is doing the right thing now. Maybe it's because he has a lot of dough invested in wind, but that's okay. If they want to build a wind farm in my back yard I'm all for it. Now if I could only drill for oil under my shed, I'd be all set for the winter.
