You crack me up. The entire congress is going in the wrong direction, not just the republicans. For example, Nancy Pelosi, (not just any democrat, but their leader) proposed drawing dwn the strategic petroluem reserve to alleviate fuel prices. Are you going to tell us that is brilliant leadership?report abuse

Feds have done a great job watching out for the public they serve. To wit: banking industry regulations, energy regulations, safe foods, health care, etc. If it costs billions, it should be good. The tax payers should get the same benefits they provide for their representatives and not a bit more or vise versa.

implementing a greater accountability and better performance governing our country is exactly what we need...change would be great and will take time but accountability can be done now...dictionary definition: : the quality or state of being accountable; especially : an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions report abuseBobhimself

Who was the first president to support federal dollars for Stem Cell Research? George W Bush
It is the deadlocked Congress that has stopped everything. Both sides. Don't look to the Feds for anything.
The States should get together and do their thing.
It was the New England states that set up the highway number system. The Bicycle lobby pushed for paved roads. It was opposed by the railroad and streetcar lobby.
Senators think they represent the people, they represent the STATE. The House represents the people in the state.
I Think Snowe and Collins do a good job for the State of Maine. BIW is still in business. What is Obama's plan for the Navy?
When the Feds get involved they mess things up.
The Tobin Bridge had to be high enough so Aircraft carriers could get to the Boston Navy Yard. Route 128 bridges had to be raised so Nike Missile could fit under.
I asked a 21 year old today: What was the USSR? She said: Something from a song.report abuse
