In 1974, scientists found lobsters in Montsweag Bay contaminated with radiation from Maine Yankee. The plant ran another 20+ years, and the permanent contamination, which is so deep that it can't be cleaned up, is "low-level" and "non-radiological". Phew. Thanks for clearing that up.
