How long will it take our great country to wake up to the fact that unless we have an economy that actually manufactures products we we will become a third world country. It is sad to see all our industry gone to China, Mexico, etc. Also to the Right- Wingnuts don't blame the American worker!report abuse

Mills are history in Maine - these "investors", like Alfond and others like him, are scraping the last dime out of these worn out mills and their poor workers.

Then they'll go on to be philanthropists and art collectors.report abuse

Why bother lending this mill anymore money. It will just lose more money and go bankrupt again. Nothing has changed. The costs in fact have increased since the shut down. I am glad I am not an investor in this company because you better kiss your money good bye.report abuse
