I hope none of the "dignitaries", if any, attending the event had to go North afterwards... traffic backed up to the downtown area on the Old Bath Road and Route 1 North was closed and detoured.... Why the paving doesn't happen at night is beyond me....

I'm actually amazed the launch if finally open since it has taken so long to finish the job...

Yea... Out taxes are going up because of it... It was even snowplowed last winter while it was closed and the budget for maintaining the facility is so low it was clearly a political estimate based not in reality but in the town's ability to siphon money out of the State that could have been better spent providing real services instead of catering to the wealthy percentage who not only own boats, but can afford the fuel to use them.report abuse

Isn't that nice. Another example of Brunswicks taxes going up in the face of the recession and a base closure.
Brunswick beter find a way the become more business friendly and lure business there before the base leaves or it'll be a ghost town with huge taxes.
A business park has been talked about but I haven't seen any action yet.report abuse
