And in another Portland Courtroom another Portland officer had assault charges dismissed via an accord and satisfaction approved by Judge Powers. What is up with these officers? What a disgrace to their field and their department.report abuse---

I do not believe any of us can judge Ms. Regan's decision until or unless we have stood in her shoes. She is ill, she's clearly been abused, and whether or not her actions played a part in the blowup of her marriage, she obviously wants to get out and turn her life around. Bell's palsy can be extremely debilitating, and whatever she has to do to control it, even moving clear across the continent if need be, is a good decision for her. Time to leave behind the violent, controlling husband and let him self-destruct at will.
