As for Catholic Charities, it's a charity I dontate to (and my daughter volunteers at) regularly. It's a wonderful organization that helps so many regardless of faith (or lack thereof). And the great thing is that is is NOT a bloated, wasteful, irresponsible governmental agency.

Nonny are you on crack...
Catholic Charities is a business, non-profit business. They have pulled the wool over your eyes forever sweetheart. You need to wake up and smell the coffee sweety. And your daughter is exactly what they want, volunteers to use so they can make a fortune.

Charity...lol....that about sums up the intelligence of people that believe in that CHARITY organization. People will buy and believe anything.report abuse

Jack Nickel and Dime It Nicholas came to DWIS of Maine from Catholic Charities and then he went back again after he carried out Baldy's plan to gut DHS and rename it Department of Wealth and Inhuman Services. So I think Catholic Charities isn't much different.report abuse

My point, Nonny, is that we shouldn't be attacking a measly $3M - which is pocket change in the federal budget - that is going to improve health care, while we don't seem to care that hundreds of billions are going to rebuild Iraq, while the Iraqis are bringing in billions in oil reserves. Why shouldn't the taxpayers monies be spent on the taxpayers?report abuse
