This whole situation is a tragedy. A baby girl is dead because her young father most likely could not stop her from crying and made a fatally bad choice. I doubt, however, that he meant to harm her. Unfortunately, the baby is dead and he will have to live with that for the rest of his life. His family is hurting and the baby's mother and her family are hurting. If only he had walked away when he felt that frustration. Or called someone to come help him comfort her.report abuseLocalLady

You'll have to forgive me for misunderstading the purpose of this forum. Somehow I allowed my too high expectations to anticipate rational thoughts and communications instead of the lynchmob mentality.
I would like to know what YOU are doing to help prevent child abuse in this country and what it is exactly about my mentality (upholding the moral values our justice system were founded upon) that is somehow the cause of child abuse?
Also, how exactly can you justify lecturing me about the uses of this forum and in the same breath tell me to keep quiet? Is this only a place for those willing to carry the torch and pitchforks of the mob mentality?report abuse

What do you think is gonna come of this, you think he dropped the child, I think you need to get off your high horse and help with child abuse. It is your mentality that is the reason that child abuse is so rampant in this country.
He is innocent till proven guilty, this is a comment forum for people to say what is on their minds about the issues that PPH decides to grace us with.
I say until you have walked a mile in the shoes, you should really keep quiet.report abuse

I think it's time for more than a few Maine residents to climb down of their high horses. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? None of you know this man or were present that night. I certainly hope none of you are ever awarded the priveledge of participating in our judicial system because such aggressive narrowmindedness accompanied by preferences towards immediate violent responses prior to rational thoughts have no place in any decision-making position. Shame on you all for being so quick to judge.report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment. Register or log in.
