"One year above or below average is not evidence for or against global warming. The longer term trends over decades show warming, maybe not as significant or insignificant as the factions would like, but quantifiable at the least."
According to your beloved scientists, this fluctuation has been going since the beginning of the planet. So now all of a sudden it is caused by George Bush ( don't think we don't know how much you would love to blame him for this entirely) and modern industry. This is a necessary natural phenomenon and thinking it is caused or can be controlled by man is the height of arrogance. Remember your beloved scientists and their plan to cover the polar ice caps with soot to stop the imminent ice age in the 70s? What a brilliant idea, that's why thinking people pay no attention to these harebrained schemes like the Kyoto Protocol.report abuse

Here is a lil tidbit from Pelosi explaining how natural gas is NOT a fossil fuel. These are the people who are looking to define our national energy policy.

You know, my son was told the same thing by his teacher about a year ago. Obviously drinking the Al Gore Kool-Aid, this dolt actually believed that this event was only ten years away from taking place.
The magic date being sometime in 2017, be sure to list your pellet stove for sale early before anyone notices the warming trend!report abuse

Why not focus your attention and energy on lowering taxes and cutting tons of spending instead of trying to make the EPA cut co2. Which by the way, we all breath out.report abuse

These attempts to make Maine politicians more important than they are and to get Maine into the news for things other than birth control for 11 yr. olds. is tiresome.
