Oh yea, the Insurance thing we pay the next to highest rates in country, only N.J. pays higher. Thanks to Ms. Mitchell & Co. for guarantee issue and her misguided commrades Pingree & company. and of course our head commander JB, with his FAILEDl LEGACY of Dirigo Health.
Also, thanks to 30+ years of Democrats enlarging the number of government jobs, they are now the largest voting block in our state, so all they have to do is vote and the Democrats/Socialists stay in.

D.H. sounds like you know what's going on behind closed doors at the State House. What is this raiding the Maine Home Fund another 12 million this year? 1st I've heard about the Maine Home Fund and it being raided by 12 million, this year, wonder how much in past years? Totally shocking I've never heard of either before this-our yellow journalism is alive and well here in central Russia.

Bush put Maine below the national average?
That doesn't explain why 7 of the 10 poorest states have been governed by Democrats for decades. Democrats encourage poverty by showering under-achievers with entitlements which they've STOLEN from over-achievers.
Everyone saw what happened to the "victims" of Hurricane Katrina. These people, with no help from their local Democratic leadership (big surprise), conditioned by years of government dependency, ignored the danger and chose to wait for the government to evacuate them from the city. In large part, the poor in this state are victims of a) their own lifestyle choices and b) Democratic leadership... not George Bush and his wealthy friends. When the crap hits the fan, the poor will be the ones waiting on their porch for the government to come because that's all they've been taught to do.report abuse
