Finally a shred of common sense from NMFS - at least allow lobstermen to re-rig their gear during the off season and not force them to comply at the height of the fishing season. Senator Collins deserves the thanks of Maine's lobstermen - she has worked hard on this issue. I'm voting for her for sticking by Maine industries for real Mainers.report abusecrusty

Raping the seas for years?Just love it when people comment on things that they know nothing about.Raping would be killing everything that comes up in the traps instead of putting back most of what comes up.There is a reason that lobstering is the only healthy fishery left.report abuseLarry Larroldstein
