Saddleback rocks, but I don't know if it's the best mountain in Maine for everyone. Give me sugarloaf any day. I do like saddleback's affordability and lack of crowds. But nasty cold prevailing winds that blow up the mountain until around March are the big downside to saddleback. I admit I haven't tried the new terrain over on the big peak.report abuseTraveler

Luckily Mainejeff he doesn't own the resort so he can't make those decisions. Besides when Sugarloaf was sold it was sold to American Ski Company which was a company founded in Maine. It was ASC which sold the resorts to Boyne.

He should do well in positioning Saddleback for sale to another out-of-state ski corporation.report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment. Register or log in.
