I totally agree with mainehiker.I'm guessing that the real purpose of this "story" is to set up a tease to have readers tune in tomorrow for more information.Responsible journalism should not be about teasing. Reporting like this is a disservice to victims and perpetrators alike.report abusemainehiker20

I do not side with anyone involved in any kind of sexual assault but I think its a bit ridiculous to have arrested a 64 year old man on allegations that happened more than 8 years ago unless there is compelling evidence or an admission of guilt. It would be nice if the media would either report ALL of the facts and if they do not have ALL the facts not report something until it has some. Stories or blurbs like this open the door to far too much speculation and it’s irresponsible for the media to just plain say this guy was arrested and charged and not have any other information.report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment.
