49RFan,wake up and smell the roses, I remember another Gardner resident who stole abou a million form an employee insurance fund and walked away with a short prison sentense and very little restitution. This is an exanmple of our criminal justice system sending the message; do what you will and we will be lienient!report abuse

As an accounting professional, I am appalled at all the recent stories involving employee dishonesty. What really surprises me is the lenth of time over which these events have occurred. Any business, large or small, with a proper separation of duties in place and appropriate auditing oversight would easily and quickly spot any improper practices. I cannot fathom how these folks go to their place of employment every day knowing that they are taking something that does not belong to them. How do they sleep at night? The need to read the book given to me by my boss as a gift - Winners Never Cheat by Jon M. Huntsmen. It is very inspirational a great commentary on today's business culture.report abuse
