Reducing the speed limit will do very little on this stretch of road. Just last week, I was eastbound on 202 and had a spud driving a penile compensator so close to my bumper, all I saw were headlights. I didn't even get a chance to get to the section of 202 near the 135 intersection that becomes 4 lanes when Mr. I Gotta Pass You Now did just that: he went ahead to pass me, oncoming traffic be damned. The vehicle coming down the hill had to pull over in the breakdown lane in order to prevent a head-on collision. The sad part is that he only had to wait three more seconds, and we would have hit the two lane portion of the highway and I would have moved over.report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment.
