Freeport will now hire a panel of experts for $100,000 to study the study and come back with a feasiblity study that the voters will ultimately reject so the board can conduct a second study.....Hey, maybe they can use the money to rebuild the bridge...maroons.report abuse

What a load of horsesh*t. A $150,000 grant to see if you can sell lobsters direct from boat to consumer. Ha! It is being done today and has been successfull on the Internet. Look at the price of lobster. There is no lack of buyers. Also, how many grants need to go to wind projects when we have commercial wind farms being built aleady in Maine. Free taxpayer money to instant LLCs popping up everywhere to grab a piece of the free money. These LLC should list the investors and then we most likely could follow the money trail.report abuse
