Stephanie Anderson and Mike Nifong certainly share a couple things in common; the desire for sensationalism and not getting all the facts straight...My sources tell me: 1)Anderson only brought people before the Grand Jury who would support her charges against the accused, 2)the Powers and Flahertys both had axes to grind, 3) Watson didn't arrive home until around 1:00, 4)Anderson is on a witch hunt...which begs the question, "Why did parents like Powers allow their son to attend a party at a house that 'they' referred to in the papers as the 'party house'...doesn't that show parental irresponsibility on their part? Or maybe they just called it that after the fact to get the posse off their trail. Why is no one after them? Aren't these parents the really guilty ones? No wonder I left Maine...What a sham!!!
Stephanie Anderson go back to what ever state you came from...report abuse

These coaches were stupid and i'm still shocked MD was allowed to keep his job. Was he included in huge pay raises detailed in the PPH Sunday Telegram last week?

Would someone please tell me why the school administration conducted an investigation when clearly a crime was involved and why this wasn't immediately turned over to the police for an investigation? Are school personnel trained in criminal interviewing techniques?

Now the real question remains unanswered. Will Kunin have what it takes to take action against the students who violated the school policy/code of conduct regarding participating in athletics and using drugs? Oh, that's right, alcohol is not a drug. Oh, wait, Deering's policies are not as stringent as say South Portland. Oh, wait, these are champion athletes and they deserve special treatment or a look in another direction.

Wake up Kunin and Kompany. It's time for complete enforcement and ZERO Tolerance of teachers, coaches and students who violate policy and codes of conduct. It's time to restore some integrity to your programs, policies and codes.report abuse
