This was an unnecessary risk. Adults who target children do so because, among other things, there is a power differential. Even if you take away a person's access to their sexual "ideal", sexual drives (esp. in a 19 yo male) are so strong that he would be inclined to find a substitute who would most likely be vulnerable. The explains why typically heterosexual people engage in same sex relations while incarcerated. The rule of thumb with sex offenders of this ilk is caution around any vulnerable population. The fact that he did not actually get caught molesting is irrelevant. He had this pornography. He fanatsized about about children. Fantasy is a dress rehearsal -- practice if you will.report abuseAnne Pappalardo

What is wrong with the state for ammending the charges and allowing him to have access to children?report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment. Register or log in.
