Maine a 'Best state' for bicycling? I'm going to try not to throw up by the time i am finish writing this post.

On May 26, 2001 Fairfield resident ,a young Mainer Brendan Batson was obeying all the rules of the road on a Norridgewock road when a drunk driver with a bunch of his buddies were hauling a stock car struck and KILLED the bike rider. The driver Kurtis Johnson, of Madison admitted at the scene he was speeding and earlier in the day to having "a few beers" .

Before slaughtering the bike rider with his vehicle the driver was driving inches from the bike rider, honking the horn, harrassing the law-abiding biker rider. before finally striking the biker and killing him.

Somerset County(pronounced Slumer-set County)District Attorney David W. Cook decided not to prosecute the case driver. Dirtbag Kurtis Johnson, of Madison struck and killed a Mainer and faced no jail.
