hmmmm lets see.....they are carp ..right??/ and many people keep fish tanks.....sooooo what if some had a bunch of gold fish ( some times used for bait or feeding other tanked fish...) was let loose...??? i remenber in my early days of fishing in NJ off the passaic river near the great falls was a group of canals called the BACK RACE....which feed many of the silk mills...anyway behind one of them was a a section that had hundreds of large gold carp
WHATS THE BIG DEAL...some let some gold fish loose and they grew..report abuse

what do you want to bet that someone from the time of the China Rose stories put the fish in the pond I kind of think if not for this state's hard nose way with this poor guy with the fish in a tank this would never happen!report abuse

Not natural predators? What about Portland's Vietnamese community? They'll come out there in droves if even catch a scent of a koi.report abuse
