Many attorneys are admitted to the bar in more than one state, and that may also be the case here. Maine had disbarred him for life from practicing law here only. Frodo did hit on an excellent idea though, impose mandatory community service monitored by another of the law profession in whatever state he choses to move to. Why does so many people think that incarceration is an answer to anything? I believe that there are many infinitely more productive ways to burn up tax dollars besides prison.report abuseN H

In some circles, an "irrational compulsion" to provide more "financial security" for yourself by stealing money from other people is called thievery, pure and simple. I guess we should be happy he didn't turn to mugging?report abusefrodo1947

working free as a lawyer for people that can't afford one, most of us, would be better than sitting in jail. He was afflicted with poverty thinking. He probably could of got help for it but that too cost money.report abusesallybaby

If disgrace is enough for this type of crime for Duncan then it's enough for anyone who commits this crime. And, they don't need to be a lawyer. Let's be fair, Duncan get's off, they ALL get off. Hang your head, that's your 'time'.report abuse
