Cranky of Waterville, ME My job has me up early in the morning and on the road (3am). And I see 2-3 walking around at those hours. Nothing is open, so why be on the streets at that time?

John Santos of winslow, ME There here folks! The best of the trash from the Bronx, Boston, Portland and of course this predator from New Jersey. They're walking the streets of downtown Waterville, Fairfield and every nearby community offering a free bed. Make no mistake you are driving by them everyday. They're black, brown, latino, white and they are from away. They've come here because our welfare system is an easy feast. What happened with workfare if someone needed assistance? Workfare where they meet up at the local town garage to clean public property, mow municipal lawns, etc. If someone simply wants to be a freeloader then they would need to move on because we won't tolerate nor have that type of assistance anymore. If they had to work for asssitance most of them would move on. Like it or not, we also need to put another 50 good cops on the streets in the Greater Waterville area to combat the increase in crime from this trend. I say give this guy 10 years in prison then upon release show him the way south past Kittery. Maybe then his Jersey pals will realize Maine is a hanging state once again!report abuse
