If anyone is going to dump on the people who caused this problem, maybe they should start pointing at th Republicans like Susan Collins who have completely blown off their responsibilities for watching over American monies in America, Iraq and elsewhere.
The Republican Party has failed us. Why do they possibly think they are the best group to get us out of the mess they just got us into?
I am really looking forward to being able to vote both FOR Tom Allen and AGAINST Susan Collins.report abuse

I really respect Tom Allen and his intelligent leadership. I like how he keeps in touch with his constituents and understands the issues in depth.

He's at some annual dinner (he could go next year) getting some cudos and a free meal; some pats on the back and some atta-boys; all while the country slides into some Wall Street sinkhole!
Come on folks! Please vote to put Mr. Allen to work in the private sector. Private enterprise has ways to deal with people who don't show up for work.report abuse

Ummm... why isn't Tom Allen in D.C.? Shouldn't he be monitoring the situation from his D.C. office and even perhaps submitting legislation to deal with the financial crisis.
