Uhh...people, THIS AIN'T BASEBALL!
PLAY IN THE FREAKIN' RAIN!!
Anything short of lightning, they should be out there playing lacrosse and football.
One of the worst conditions I ever played in was in Pop Warner Football in mid november, it was freezing, almost sleet, there was a huge puddle in the middle of the field, and we were soaked and freezing, but we won! One of my fondest memories, talk about a character builder, and at the age of 12! No one got hurt, we had a blast, and it was an incredible feeling of playing through adversity and being tougher than the other guy when the going was tough. From that time on, weather has never bothered me, stop whining and making lame excuses and get out there and do it!
We are raising a nation of momma's boy wimps.
What a travesty, for a statte who supposedly takes pride in being able to endure the elements, Maine is a laughing stock.report abuse

I've never herd of such a thing before I moved to Maine. The same thing happens with lacrosse games in spring, they cancel games due to rain.

Whats up with these people cancelling football games. Let the boys play so they will know what a life is all about getting wet, muddy, some dirt in their face and may be a little cold standing around. Must be another MPA bull $hit doing.report abuseepbdad

What is up with football games being postponed? I've never heard of this. Muddy games are the best!report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment. Register or log in.
