Try and convict the scum and put him on a chain gang cleaning up the streets of Portland where others of his ilk have turned it into a dump. Out in the cold and wet cleaning is a fitting punishment. The only reason the "Do Gooder Outfits" are out there is to get large salaries for their executives and paid staff. Quick recovery to Officer Pelletier and thank you for being out there between us and them.report abuseDan Pelletier

Campmom, the homeless don't get bailed out. They have their court date and the judge always kicks them loose because its more of a waste of our money to keep them in jail and feed them. Unfortunately this is the time of year that some homeless will get arrested so they can stay out of the cold and get 4 square meals down at CCJ.report abuseCampmom

I see Bennett's name in the Forecaster every week on the "arrested list" for assault, disorderly conduct and public drinking etc. If he's homeless, how does he make bail and who is the idiot that keeps bailing him out? Either kick him out of Maine or lock him up permanently so he can't hurt anyone else. He keeps re-offending, so why not lock him up? If it were one of us with that many offenses, we would be doing serious time.report abuseTiny207

Heycashdaddy- I totally agree with you. I see the homeless almost on a daily basis coming to Maine from all across the nation ALL with ONE WAY TICKETS!!! I've seen them from Oregon, Chicago, Columbus, Miami, Houston, and many others. I'm suprised i haven't seen them come from other Countries... Oh wait they're driving 2008 BMWs and Audi's and causing some of Portlands Crime.
