I am appalled at the tone of this thread. Why are people slamming Maine who don't even live here anymore? Every state has its favorite alcoholic beverage, even Massachusetts. So Allen's coffee brandy has hit a record regarding sales volume. That does not mean that everyone in Maine is a drunken idiot who is abusing the welfare system. It's those kinds of stereotypes that have gotten people/groups into trouble before. If you're going to criticize an entire state, and you don't even live here, you don't know what you are talking about.
