Hey Excalibur, it is ENTERTAINMENT, do you consider the same thing for movie theaters or other entertainment? That is the whole point, people in Maine are bringing their money out of state whereas we can keep it in the state.report abuseFinsUp!

Chris, we need $100 million a year and 1000 jobs. If you don't want to go there you don't have to. Don't take it out on hard working Mainers and our older population that you are shuttling to Connecticut by denying them the right to stay here.report abuseFinsUp!

Tee thats not a casino in Bangor a true casino has table games has live entainment. What they want in Oxford is a casino resort i hope they make it a true resort for the family too like a good play ground for the kids inside an how about min golf inside so they can be used year round.Have other family actives to do. have tennis courts an let people know that atv trails are mt bike trails are shuttle people to the river for kayken an canoing winter have xcountry sking snowshoeing an snowmobling near by. Bethel is 31 miles from oxford an Gorham NH is 52 miles from Oxford. People from mass drive up to Bingham an Jachman in winter for the weekend to go snowmobileing also people drive up to sundayriver an sugarloaf on a weekend just to go sking.
