xcalibur1066 says it all. But the one thing I cannot understand is the oil companies say they have little margins to work with but the difference in prices between Portland, Lewiston and Agusta is beyound my understanding. Well except for lying. Just be up front. You are getting the price you can and the bigger you are the more you can charge. C N Brown, DeadRiver, ect. And yes the same goes for gas. Farmington of all places is cheeper than Augusta or Lewiston and it has to be shipped further. And lets all remember that Newport usally has the lest expensive gas in Maine. Oh that's right it Bush's fault. In a pigsreport abuse

While I am happy to see the oil prices declining, I am at the same time feeling sorry for myself since I was foolish enough to lock in at $4.69 a gallon. Live and learn!report abuse

Jeff : Ms. Donothing Pelosi, Mr. Reid and Mr. My-Lover-Works-at-Fannie-Mae Frank are sad that you left them out of your tribute to the economy wreckers. Please don't forget the "letters" that Mr. Obama sent to people. Of course, he forget to actually introduce the legislation to make the it meaningful. But he did write some mighty fine letters.

And please let's hear it for your neighbor down the street with the 3000 sq foot home with the 125% mortgage with 1% for the first three years. And the guy in the cubical next to you with $17,000 in credit card debt. But of course, GWB forced them to get mortgages they couldn't afford and to max out their credit cards.

How about that Democrat Mayor of Birmingham, AL who is single-handedly causing the largest municipal bankruptcy in history. He doesn't have anything to with the decline in municipal bonds does he? But no worries, he collected $156,000 in illegal gifts from bond underwriters. And Mr. Obama wants to include an avenue to help out municipalities that are 'feeeling' the economic pinch... I wonder who will carry Alabama this election.... I just wonder....

You should read/listen to something other then the mainstream press... You are only getting half the news.report abuse
