Kudos to the officers. I'll cheer you on if you ever have to shoot someone who's brandishing a gun at me on the highway.report abuse

Let's see. Stupid Dude (apparently) waves gun at people while driving. Then Stupid Dude aims shotgun at police officers. Officers shoot Stupid Dude before he has a chance to kill somebody else. Sounds like good police work to me!

REAL police work is not what is seen on T.V. and I think that is why everybody has an opinion on how the police should do their job. Everybody is an expert on how to handle every incident. Everybody becomes an expert after watching all the police shows on T.V
Would these same people think they can operate on others after watching ER. Or build a house after watching Home Addition.
Let me explaine the difference. Real cops work nights, weekends, holidays, for very little pay and no respect from the people they help and protect.
ACTORS they film cop shows on a back lot in Hollywood. They can stop the filming at anytime and do a re-take. In real life police have to make split second decisions and don't have the option to yell cut and start over. Or wait until the morning paper comes out and sit down with a cup of coffee and second guess their decisions.
Next time someone is trying to hurt you or a love one call the hollywood cops and see how quick they come to your aid. Or how about if the people in this forum have the nuts to leave their real names and phone numbers and we can start a phone tree and call them to handel a person with gun or a drugie who is trying to break into our houses in the middle of the night.
No disrespect but the general public does not have a clue to how the police work on a day to day basis. The public form their opinions from the news and papers and remember if the story is not exciting the paper does not sell.
The two deputies are good Americans, family men, and police officers. Good bless them and I thank them for their service.
Mud slingers: Leave your name and phone numbers so we can call you to handle the violent criminals that roam our streets. Come on GROW SOMEreport abuse

I will stay calm after reading all these comments about two good a decent men such as Deputy Welch and Sgt. Hall. I know both these men and if I had a dollar for every criminal they have protected the pubilc from, I would be a very rich man.
