Regardless how it all happened and how we might help ourselves from avoiding this scenario, there's nothing more gross and haunting and difficult to recover from than having someone force themselves sexually onto you.report abuse

This is a horrible story and horribly presented by the media to the public. It sounds like all the local media was so anxious to present it as they got it from the police department but without verified facts at hand yet. I'm starting to feel that with the Internet at hand for everyone, the chance for wild speculation does almost as much harm in society as is good w/ half-finished information. This wild debate is going on: Did he tell her he was an officer to lure her to his apartment? Did she go willingly and then he mentioned that and then he raped her?

This predafile needs to be taken off the street permanently. They should get Special enforcement officer Larry Haskell on it right away. That guy is dialed in and walking point at all times.report abuseLarryTiita

I heard he raped her in the mouth. He should be incarcerated for life. In Maine, we'll be lucky if he gets 6 months.report abuseDan Schwartz

I love this town! We really get statewide exposure with all the drug dealers, child molesters and rapists being rounded up in town every week. And even if they arent from Westbrook a sting is set up to nab an internet pedophile from Brownfield in Westbrook. What up with that? Does the Press Herald have a 24 hour newsdeck down at the police station??? Surely lowlifes must get rounded up elswhere.report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment.
