TaxedMainer - you sir, make way too much sense to be posting here. The only way that scenario could be better is if the waiter either, 1.) Sued the patron for not leaving a tip and received a large multi-million dollar settlement or 2.) The waiter quit working and got on the government dole like the other 33 percent of mainers who live in squalor by choice. A wise man once told me, "Donnie, wellfare is the only thing that keeps 300 pound, spandex wearing women from waddling over and taking yours." If the wellfare receipients had any gumption at all, they'd have jobs...report abuse

taxedmainer- you just made my day. i think your post is great and i have copied and pasted it into an email and sent it out all over. it has even reached my friends in europe and china. when it all boils down, that's really what his plan does, just on a larger scale.

and boy, i hope it made you feel better and i hope it made your outspoken waiter think twice about who exactly he will support. he really has little incentive to get any better of a job, so long as a check from Obama will improve his quality of living.report abuse
