In 2007, with a population of 6,338,755 in the state of Arizona, there were 468 murders and 1,856 rapes.
In 2007, one out of 17,091 people were murdered in Illinois. One out of 13,544 murdered in Arizona.
One out of 3,132 raped in Illinois. Out of of 3,415 raped in Arizona.

So, DaveD, Chicago has twice the murder rate as Phoenix (Arizona's most populated city). Ok to accept the statistics according to Law Enforcement Agencies for the states of Illinois and Arizona?
