Suprising the vote was so close , makes one wonder why Scarborough's voting didn't come so close in the Rasino vote for Washington County ...
I know casino-no did not fight this issue here Scarborough , much like Bangor .
So much like the voting in Bangor , good for us not for you ...report abuse

Congratulations to the good folks of Scarborough for understanding that you can't gamble your way out of your problems and also seeing through the deceptive advertising campaign promising free schools, pools, and fire stations but conveniently leaving out the fact that it was all tied to racino gambling. Maybe if the racino folks weren't so insulting and deceptive, they might have presented themselves as a credible organization. Unfortunately, the tried to appeal to the more ignorant who maybe didn't think this all through and by leaving out the, "Oh by the way, there will be slot machines too" part of the message went down in defeat. What happens in Vegas, should stay in Vegas. Good ridance Mr. Soprano.report abuseJennifer Crowley
