A responsible person would know that if they "disappeared" for days, some one would notice and report it to the authorities.

A responsible person might even call the authorities and say they were taking an "unexplained time-out" and were not in danger.

A responsible person, would report a missing person.

I don't know these people, but it does seem that there is probably far more to the story than what we've read, it is also, just irresponsible to "disappear".report abuse

reader of Boston;
Did it ever occur to you that this young woman may have been staying with a friend or relative.
Did it ever occur to you that she may have left a bad relationship? why do you call the victim a tramp. You have no idea who she is or what she has been doing, but because she went to seek shelter out of harms way , you call her a tramp.
YOU should APOLOGIZE and keep you mean spirited comments in Bostonreport abuse

It probably never occurred to her that the idiot she dumped would call out the hounds. In this age of heightened fear and terror, police have no way of knowing if someone is reporting a person missing just because they got dumped, and can't find the object of their obsession. Better to search, than ignore and have it come back to bite you. And HE should be billed for initiating the search.report abuse
