In these days of the high speed Internet service and instant news, I am surprised that any newspaper can survive and make a profit. As George Orwell said in his book, 1984, it is the way of the world and it never will stop changing until the human beast destroys itself. Just yesterday, I read Orwell's book, Animal Farm. And I agree with all he writes. For pleasure or pain, I encourage the reading of his brilliantly written satires.report abuse

Let's hope that the public sector takes the cue from all the consolidation as the Legislature grapples with the pending $600 million budget gap in the next two years. We cannot afford to dig deeper to pay higher taxes.report abuse
