Why is this an issue for you Jay2? It's privately funded. Fort Williams is a tourist spot. It welcomes over 1 million tourists a year. If people want to donate money to support adding to this attraction, what's it to you?

It's true, times are hard. If people can support tourism in light of this...more power to them.report abuse

The picture of the big ole tree on Monument Square looks like it's hangin by the neck until dead.
