He could have kept the dog, as it easier to replace the dog and probably cheaper. The dog could have been traced if the dog had the micro-chip embedded.report abuseThom Locke

Story sounds fishy to me. In these tough economic times, if the jewelry was insured, a "robbery" would be a way to get the full value of the jewelry vs. pawn shop's. Pretty hard for cops/insurance company to prove it didn't happen.report abuse

Clean-shaven -- got it; "professional-looking" -- as in robber?!
