It amazes me how the regular posters bicker amongst themselves and blame everything on political affiliation. How about the 250 or so people that are losing their jobs just before Christmas? Oh, let's just dismiss them as only being from Rumford. The paper mills just aren't the lifeblood of the towns like they used to be, Most of them are sitting on some beautiful areas, like rivers and waterfalls. It's seems like these areas could be used better. Life changes and these towns have to evolve with it.report abuseMike

Quad Graphics is a printer, not a paper manufacturer. Verso Paper (Bucksport) produced the catalog paper for L.L. Bean until 2007, when the contract expired & was not renewed. At that time Bean switched to a mill in Wisconsin; not sure who the owner of that mill is.report abuseJohn Marzano
