Wait, I thought those evil price gouging oil companies (along with president Bush) controlled oil prices and were keeping prices high to steal money from poor wroking families? So why don't the oil companies just "gouge" the price right back up to $3.50 per gallon? What's that...did someone say "supply and demand"? Nevermind...report abuseSam

In Massachusetts people can qualify for TANF at a higher income than in Maine, so one must be poorer in Maine to get this welfare than in Mass..
The maximum TANF benefit in Massachusetts is 29% higher than in Maine, giving that recipient who qualified even though they were making more in Mass a much higher welfare check than they would get in Maine.report abuse

FACTS:
