MPBN has lost many thousands of dollars in donations due to their shoddy treatment of the humble farmer Robert Skoglund. When they publically acknowledge this, apologize and return him to their radio schedule hundreds of donors will return to the fold, report abuse

So, MPBN is going to disenfranchise the mostly conservative residents of Washington and Aroostook Counties? Shameful! But oh so understandable. Way to go libs.report abuse

It's most unfortunate to know more peole are now no longer going to be able to receive MPBN. If I could still get MPBN I would still contribute to it. It just no longer comes in for me. Their transmitter, or what I don't know.

My kids loved Sesame street, and my folks loved Lawrence Welk. Educational, and good harmless, if boring, entertainment. If you don't like it, don't watch. Tax dollars go to lot more wasteful things than the tiny ammount that gos to public TV. From the muppets,to Sesame street, to Mr. Rodgers, my kids got a lot healthier entertainment on PBN than the garbage on the other stations. It's good for kids, and anyone who can't see that either doesn't have kids,or is self centered.

I used to enjoy some of the Public TV shows, locally, and national produced. Sometimes the lefty politically oriented shows got me ticked off, like Bill Moyers, but big deal. There are plenty of right wing wackos to counter that.

My children are grown now, but they loved the public broadcasting kids shows, and anyone who actually thinks there is some sort of dangerous propaganda in there is deluded. Todays generation of children need clean, healthy entertainment more than ever.
TV should be free if there are commercials on it as far as I'm concerned. To pay a cable fee to listen/ watch to commercial TV is ridiculous in my opinion. Anyone like me over fifty grew up on free over the air TV. My life does not revolve around TV,and if I watch an hour a day that's plenty. TV SHOULD BE FREE, and it still is to a limited degree. Anyone who wants to eliminate free TV is a fool. Make MPBN stronger, not weaker!report abuse
