Sad but unfortunate & highly preventable. We see too many of these drug-addicted, aimless partiers who their parents are reluctant to set limits with or say "no" to. John Okie's parents can be proud that they made him what he is today. The costs are not just the years of dissipation & lack of motivation, but also permanent brain & psychiatric damage. The cost is not only personal damage, but collateral damage to family & society, as we pick up the costs to treat, rehab, & incarcerate these self-indulgent slackers. Maine can't afford it!report abuseArlene Row

I have a photo album from when they all graduated Kents Hill in 06 and came to celebrate at our home in Mass. I look at these pictures of the murdered, the murderer, their friends, & family, and I am so deeply saddened. Justice has been served. Johnny needs to go away and be out of society. No doubt. But for those of us who knew all the parties involved, and there are many, it will always be a mystery as to what happened to make this man commit such heinous acts of barbarism. And it's more than a little scary, as no one saw it coming...report abusecafeguy
