Michael Denis of formerly of Waterville, ME, I do in fact support gay marriage, and abortion should continue to be a choice. As a physician, I can tell you that there is an embarrassing amount of people having babies who can barely take care of themselves. To encourage over population is irresponsible.report abuse

Not sure which is better -- the Alfond gift, or the IRS tax deduction -- my grandson was born in December!

Dr04102, it always takes one to spoil things. How about encouraging gay marriage (no breeding there) or more abortions while you're at it? If you won the PowerBall, you'd probably complain because the prize wasn't big enough. A sunny day would fade the paint on your car.report abuse

Well, I for one am pretty excited about this generous gift considering my son is due March 29th and just to let Dr04102 know, I didn't get pregnant just because a scholarship was being offered to my baby.

Thank you to Mr. Harold Alfond!report abuse
