A law passed long before this legislature was elected set up the system for them to get automatic pay raises. The legislative leaders have already said that the raise is one of the items "on the table" to be reviewed as they begin to formulate the legislative budget.

Thomas Carter, I fully agree with your analysis. As usual, the most productive will suffer to buffer the least productive from loosing high paying jobs they wouldn't even have if not for being in the Governor's pockets. The public suffers in return, which is all part of the master plan.
